Turkana Container 01

This beautiful Turkana container was hand-carved from acacia wood with great skill by the pastoral Turkana people of Kenya. This vessel would have originally been used to collect milk, honey and to carry food. The wood has taken on a beautiful patina and wear after years of use and has been repaired with a metal base.
