Growing up with a love for farming and the African bush, I have always preferred a more rural way of living. Watching the past few years unfold, the benefits of a more self-sufficient lifestyle have become increasingly important and my desire to move out into the countryside grew.

In England one of the most accessible ways to obtain this lifestyle is through period properties as these old homes often come with land that would otherwise be hard to get. After searching for almost a year, the most perfect property became available.

With that, the journey begins! Renovating a period property which is grade listed comes with a unique set of challenges as laws require specialist planning and listed consent which I’ll share as the project progresses.

I’ll also be sharing the journey to a more self-sustaining and traditional lifestyle from chicken coops to kitchen gardens alongside the internal interior renovations and outbuilding conversions. The best part with the interiors is that I will be creating new collections which you will be able to shop as well as curating collections that are available to order too.
